To make cider, start by selecting ripe, fresh apples and washing them thoroughly. Crush or press the apples to extract their juice, then transfer the juice to a fermentation vessel and add yeast to initiate fermentation. Allow the juice to ferment for several weeks, then strain and bottle the cider, letting it age for improved flavor.
