New Zealand Nelson Sauvin™ Hop Profile
Aroma/Flavor: Nelson Sauvin™ hops impart a grape-like flavor to beers, defined as a cool climate white wine grape flavors. Other descriptors include extreme fruitiness, Passionfruit, and “Fresh Crushed Gooseberries”.
This cross between New Zealand Smoothcone and wild hops makes for a versatile brewing ingredient. A high alpha and distinctly fruity aroma make Nelson Sauvin hops totally unique. A bright aroma of gooseberry, grapefruit and citrus pack a punch in beer styles like APAs, IPAs, and even some lagers.
